Sit Down and Write Write-a-Thon: Starting Line

It's on! Are you ready?  Have you been working on a novel, short story, etc. that you want to finish?  Are you swamped with books to review after all these read-a-thons this summer?  Well, this is the week for you! Sign in at the starting line below (please link to where you're updating...blog, Facebook, Goodreads...to a starting line post preferably).  Stop in on Twitter (or use Tweetchat, Tweetdeck, Bottlenose) and use the hashtag #sitdownwrite  Maybe we'll have some impromptu writing sprints.

My goals:
My goal is to try to catch up on Camp NaNoWriMo, which would be about 4500 words a day this week and the rest of the month.  Can I do it?  We shall see! Like I said, even if I can get halfway done with my novel this month, I'll be happy.

What are your goals?

***Write-a-Thon Participant Giveway***

I will be giving away winner's choice of one of these three writing books that I love.

I will be sending the book from Better World Books so it will be a gently used copy.  Don't worry...I have had a lot of experience with them and have never been disappointed with the used books I've received.  BWB ships free worldwide.  So guess what?  Giveaway is INTERNATIONAL! All you have to do to be eligible is sign in at the starting line, participate in the write-a-thon, and link up your wrap-up at the end.  Easy stuff, right?  I will give everyone until 10am CST Tuesday (8/28) to complete their wrap-up posts.

  2. Okay, I added a second linky and a comment to the sign up post instead of here! Whoops! I've only had one sip of coffee this morning so that's my excuse. I think I managed to link up here, though. So I'm ready to go...as soon as I finish working today.

  4. I haven't written in forever it seems like, so I'm going to take my time, do about 1400 to 1500 a day and get back into the groove before Nanowrimo. If I can be steady with that for a month and it's easy, then I think I may up it to 2000 and see how I feel.

I'm honestly really excited about this! Hope everyone is already having as much fun as I am. :D

  7. Hi, Michelle! I hope you reach your writing goal! I am not a writer, but I have quite a few book reviews that need to be written so I thought your write-a-thon would give me that extra push to dedicate some time this week to doing that. Hopefully, I'll be able to knock some reviews off my list!!

  8. I don't necessarily have a startup post; I just put that I would participate in my Monday Memes post last week, BUT .. I did get a lot of review writing done and I have a wrapup post scheduled for tonight!

  10. Opps! I'm sorry! I was too sleepy (I guess) and I posted my wrap up post link in the sign up page. Many apologies!

I apologize for comment moderation, but I seem to get a ton of spam.
